GOING BACK TO CALI

Thought I'd better post about our trip to California. We went there to visit my sister Linda and her family for my Mother's 70th Birthday!!! Whoo Hooo she doesn't look at all 70 years old.
We had a wonderful time. Lots of shopping, eating, we celebrated 2 birthdays while we were there and a couple of ball games. There were a few minor set backs with Linda pulling a muscle in her back the day we got there. She got out of the car to help lift the heavy suitcases and bent over and couldn't get back up. At first I thought she was kidding and called her a few names but she was serious alright because for the next 5 days we had to cater to her every wish!!!! No actually it wasn't as bad as I am telling you it was. She actually did pretty dang good for the pain that she was in. She was a trooper. Thank goodness my Mom brought her handicap sticker because the way Linda was walking she totally fit the sign. :)
Mom had a good birthday, so she says. We tried to make it special and the kids definately went out of their way to make that happen. We had to hear every ten minutes from the 3 year olds "Happy Birthday", they sound exactly like Frosty The Snowman when he says "Happy New Year" and they said it just like him.
Hayden and Adisynn grab assed (thats what my Mom always called bickering) the whole time we were there. We heard, "I'm not your friend," "shut your mouth," "I don't like you," so many times that I thought I would beat the crap out of them. (But of course I wouldn't have) :o
Well, my Mom, me, Adisynn and Berlynn will be heading to Gilbert, Arizona in 3 weeks to visit my other sister Laura. The thought of traveling again and dealing with the airport scene, having my luggage put on another plane and being delivered to my house the next day, and a 3 year old gives me a headache but I'm sure when the time comes around we will be rip, roaring and ready to go. I hope!!! :)

THE HUMAN RACE

My sister sent this to me and I thought it was pretty funny...

A little girl asked her mother, "How did the human race appear?" The mother answered, "God made Adam and Eve and they had children and so was all mankind made." Two days later the girl asked her father the same question. The father answered, "Many years ago there were monkeys from which the human race evolved." The confused girl returned to her mother and said, "Mom, how is it possible that you told me the human race was created by God, and Dad said they developed from monkeys?" The mother answered, "Well, dear, it is very simple. I told you about my side of the family and your father told you about his."

Too Funny!!!! :)

THE PRECIOUS ANGEL

Ok, its been 16 years since I had a 3 year old and I must have forgot what it was like, because sometimes I am ready to pull my hair out. I hear all the time that having a child in your later years will keep you young... WELL, I DON"T THINK SO!!! I have grey hair, I can't see very well and have a hard time chasing her and the dog down the street.I enjoy reading many of your posts of those who have 3 and 4 year olds because it helps me realize that this is all normal craziness and time goes by so fast and then they're gone. So, I just needed to RANT a little bit tonight because come tomorrow we start all over again.. But everyday I thank the Lord for the 2 special gifts he's given us and even though I'm 46 I would do it all over again even if I were 76 (good hell, okay maybe not that old)

THE FAMILY UPDATE POST

I need to get this post out to family and friends of the recent pictures taken of Abigail and Ella. Its been 3 weeks since the last time. You family members need to get your butts out here for a visit and see her for yourself. She's so dang cute!! But I will continue to take pictures for ya!! If I have to... :) HeHe.. I tried to get her to wake up so I could get a picture of her with her eyes open. No such luck. Maybe next time.

RANDOM PICTURES AND THOUGHTS

It has been so long since I have blogged. Time just flies by and then I am reminded from Linda that its about time that I write a new blog. I still don't know how to put the pictures in order and then the comment so this post is going to probably be all over the place....

We use to go to Cold Stone at least twice a week. But lately, we have been going to Golden Spoon. I don't feel as guilty going to Golden Spoon being that its yogurt instead of ice-cream. But it is so delicious and so refreshing and everytime we go there it is so freakin busy. Its the same thing going to Cafe Rio because everyone is LDS. Its like a Family Reunion. Especially on Monday nights where everyone is going for Family Night. Its fun though!!

Easter was great! It was kind of strange because we usually spend it with family but this year my parents went out of town and we usually go to their house for dinner and hang out. My brother lives here in town but neither one of us called to invite the other over for dinner, so it felt like a regular Sunday. The only picture I took was of Ron and Adisynn before they left for church. Ron has to be to church 15-20 minutes early for no reason other than he doesn't like to be late and then Berlynn and I stroll in barely in time before it starts. We did the dying of eggs and hiding the eggs and Easter baskets which I make one for everyone each year. As I was putting them out this year I was putting them where every one likes to sit and Berlynn was watching me and when it came to my chair I said, "Ok, and mine will go right here in the rocking chair." Well, that caught Berlynns attention because no one gets one for me. We just started laughing. It was like 1:00 a.m. and we were both a little goofy. I was just giving her a hard time because its the same thing for Christmas too. Everyone gets a stocking filled but me. Its pretty comical!:)

Adisynn spends alot of time in the backyard driving her car around. She will sometimes put her dolls in with her or try to smoosh the dog in but she wanted me to take her picture and lately she seems to think she need to make funny faces because she says it makes her look cute... Ok, whatever!!!! Funny girl!

Adisynn loves to play the piano for us. It always seems to be right in the middle of a program that we are watching and she starts pounding on the piano. I guess its because she has every ones attention. We listen for awhile and then we've had it and cut her off or she will go on forever. She makes up songs or she sings the First Article of Faith or Frosty the Snowman or Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer over and over and over....Poor kid, all she has is a bunch of old farts sitting around to play with and the dog (Dax) who takes alot of crap from her. Thank goodness for DAX!

ABIGAIL ARTHA HAS ARRIVED

My brother Ken and his wife Jenny had their baby Sunday, March 9. We went to my parents house last night for dinner and was able to see and hold Abigail. She was released from the hospital Thursday because of some complication but she is doing great now. She is so sweet and so tiny. We are so glad she is here safe and sound.
Linda has been bugging me to post some pictures of her so they can see her. So here are just a few. The other picture is my brother Ken and their 1 year old Ella and then Adisynn and Abigail.
